Ida’s House
Brand Design
Ida’s House is an independently run Knit Shop and Wool School in Lewes.
After after 8 years in Caterham, Ida’s House relocated to a new and different town - which Jayne, the owner, saw as an opportunity to cast off some of the elements of the brand that they had had to adapt to suit the former local customers, who were not Jayne’s ideal clients, and to bring with them the aspects that truly speak to what we are trying to do and who we are trying to do it for.
After trading for 8 years, Jayne had a much clearer sense of what they do, why they do it and how we they different from other independent yarn shops than when they first opened. And she want to make more out of that niche. Jayne summarised it well herself:
“We want to refine the Ida’s House brand: for a new location, a new audience and a new era in the business”.
Overall we settled on a joyful brand that inspired confidence and creativity. With inspiration taken from scandinavian folk art and risograph printing, overall the brand is bright, colouful and a perfect embodiment of Jayne herself.
